Deliverables and Scope of Work

Your investment of $5000 will fund four interactive, specialized workshops each lasting between one to two hours (sometimes 2 ½ hours)   1 to 2 presenters and 1 presentation aid are part of the workshop.  "The Truth About Drugs” covers vaping, marihuana, fentanyl, synthetics, addiction and their effects on the brain and body. It includes overdose signs and Narcan effects and applications (see the lesson plan) Narcan is provided/available at workshops and events as needed or requested.  Mental wellness workshop: “Understanding emotions and Critical thinking” provides skills on emotional intelligence and cognitive restructuring to manage stress, anger, anxiety and grief known to be vulnerabilities for self-medication, self-harm, and violence.   Nonviolent communication and positive self-talk are tools and skills used when presenting. Pre- and post-assessment for children and youth.  For adults, a post-questionnaire.   Imans Light Foundation is also committed to encourage and support schools and students to continue the conversation and establish an ILF Youth Group.  Youth groups are given material and topics to continue the conversation among themselves, making them leaders and positive influences. Our annual "Music and Lights for Life Dance and Exhibition" provides crucial information on drugs lacing, addictions, and promoting mental wellness. It celebrates and honors lives through music, performances and lights.  We create a safe environment to dance, laugh and have fun showing that there’s no need of substances that alter your mental state and abilities, especially with the very real possibility of a fake pill and fentanyl lacing that can kill you in less than 2 min. Sponsors present provide related resources, information and even CPR lessons.  We have Narcan available for anyone who wants it.  Iman’s light partners with police, city leaders and DEA to collect medical waste and safe disposal of drugs. We advocate for legislative changes against lethal substances such as fentanyl, and comprehensive resources and protection for our children, youth, victims and families. We also collaborate with support groups that offer free services and resources to those in need.
