Iman's Light Foundation: Music, Dance & Lights for Life Exhibition

Peter is President and CEO of Fight Game Advisors, a full-service fight management company that has been guiding world champions for nearly three decades. He is also a community leader who provides sports guidance and support for youth in need. He has sponsored this foundation since its inception and consistently sponsors a table for youth in need at our event. Peter and Magda have known Iman since she was born.

Gretchen is a Community Outreach Specialist for the Drug Enforcement Administration. Still, her dedication to the community began many years ago in her native Puerto Rico, working with dangerous substances and those affected by addiction. Her work focuses on civil rights, education, empowerment, leadership, social justice, and the dangers of fake pills.

Commissioner Maxwell is a City of Miramar Commissioner dedicated to serving its multicultural residents and addressing the needs of schools and the community. He has a history of working in government administration across party lines. He has supported Iman's Light Foundation from the outset, having known Iman from community and school events, as well as food distribution during the pandemic.

Jaquelyn is a Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration, where she conducts Fentanyl Overdose Investigations trainings and develops partnerships with local municipalities to support fentanyl poisoning investigations in South Florida. Her dedication, compassion, and empathy for victims and their families, along with her relentless pursuit of justice, are reasons she is receiving this award.

Dr. Americo is the Chief of the Department of Pediatric Psychiatry at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, focusing on child and adolescent psychiatric care, addiction, and crisis intervention, while also supporting families. He is board-certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. When speaking about his patients, he always refers to them as his children, reflecting his love, devotion, and empathy that go beyond professionalism.

State Representative Marie is a tireless advocate for her diverse district 105. Serving since 2020, she has shown that community is her top priority. She serves on seven committees, including Education and Health and Human Services.

State rep Woodson filed a bill to include slain federal agents' survivors in property tax exemption, and she is working along with other members on stringent laws against Fentanyl and other lethal synthetic substances.

Gretchin is a mother who pushed the bill, also known as “Gage’s Law,” which would require hospitals and hospital-based emergency facilities that treat patients for a suspected drug overdose or poisoning to test for fentanyl via a urine test. The bill is named after Gage Austin Taylor, who died of an overdose in 2022 at the age of 29.
